Retiring to the Blue Boar tavern and drink tab on the good Lord Ormend helped to ease the pain of the days battle against the Kruthik and Kobolds. With their body rested, and bellys full, the group is soon met Kethorn who is escorting the Lady Elisandra N’Starra to the upper floor of the Blue Boar for the night, with safety on his mind. We are requested to stay close, in the off chance that more skull duggery is to happen. We agree.
We decided on a 3 watch rotation when we were finally done drinking, and with only 4-6 hours before dawn, that seemed best. On first watch was Griffo outside of the Lady Elisandra’s door, and Mort downstairs guarding the main floor Vash, Abderus Mok’Nathal with hermes were also downstairs by the fireplace, while Raggar was upstairs in his room.
Small bat winged creatures that we later were to discover were Imps, attacked from their hidden locations of invisibility. They poisoned Mort with their stingers. Mort yelled out “Elisandra, be warned we are under attack, protect yourself if you can” and with a flurry of massive hits (2 criticals) from his strength of earth position, we made small work of the flying Imps. 2 retreated, we killed 1 which quickly turned to ash.
Later, Kobolds and kruthiks once again assaulted, from their places underground, and came for the inn and presumably the lady Elisandra. Raggar was quick to breathe lightning on them, killing a kruthik in the process and then Griffo followed suit with his impressive lightening strike upon a dragonshield kobold (critical hit). The kobold Wyrmpriest made the stupid mistake to fall into my enclose the prey and furious assault, and when it was done, he lay cleaved in 2 (32 pts of damage). Vash had his grasping claws on the dragonshield finally connect and the kobold felt what being raked to death was like.
Kethorn called a meeting of the town council immediately after we notified him of the attack. Elisandra said she had felt she was being watched ever since she left Tyrrn. The characters “B K N” were the scars upon the kobolds, in loose draconic script. We all feel these stand for the dragon Bale Khara Nalsym. Tharina, the priestess of Moradin blessed our party with Kord and Moradin’s praises. I tried to avoid her, but it was not to be done.
