Coward! The tiefling scum who brought the ceiling down on us ran away like a coward. Why is he afraid of death when he worships a demon? If he would just talk with us I am sure we could bring him closer to his God.
We put on a chase, but were thwarted in our attempt to capture him by a hoard of 10 foot zombie barbarians in a frenzied rage…no that’s not right, we were stopped by a huge red dragon who nearly turned us into an adventurer kabob…NO, we were stopped by a DOOR! Are you kidding me, a DOOR! They are meant to be opened, opened. Anyways we threw everything we had at the door, which must not be much, and even used a key we found to help unlock part of the door. But we still failed.
In frustration, I took a tiefling corpse and tossed it in the hall in an attempt to trigger the ward on the other side of the hall. It failed, but I was still frustrated so I went for another corpse when Arandur walked right through the ward…you know what they say about the definition of insanity.
With the ward tripped we moved forward into yet another tomb area where we fought some additional Tiefling skeletons. We made quick work of them, and even left one around for a little mocking before he returned to the land of the dead.
After this encounter even I was feeling tired, so I am sure my fellow adventurers were downright exhausted. I think we will need a break before digging further into this tomb.
